Mike Allen - National Fresh

Mike Allen is a radio DJ, between the years 1984 to 1988 Mike hosted a number of Electro/Hip Hop shows in the UK. Mike’s shows were very popular at the time and he had a big influence on the acceptance and evolvement of Hip Hop in the UK. Mike was also one of the main players responsible for the UK Fresh 86 concert that took place at Wembley Arena in London, on July 19th 1986.

This guy was responsible for informing the old school masses about the state of Hip Hop in the UK. Together with Chuck Chillout and his ‘New York juice report’ we had it all. Public Enemy, Mantronix, Skinny Boys.
