Guy Ritchie is up to his usual tricks with his film ‘Rock n Rolla’. It’s gangsters, crime, plot twist and a great backdrop of London too. To get into the film I went along to a screening that ended up being a HUGE party with re-enactments of scenes on the party floor. There were dancers in dark rooms, pretty girls in very little walking around, a big strange dude in a black 4×4, groups of angry young men playing dominoes and watching the horse race. There was a bit of a struggle to get a seat, but it was well worth it, even Guy arrived before it started to thank us for coming.
I feel like the piece doesn’t need much explanation – you’ll have to watch the film to find out more.
The basic premise is that the plot revolves around a work of art that is stolen, yet you never see it.
