It was 12 years ago, to the day almost, that the final touches were being put to my first animated music promo. It was completed in the Truman building on Brick Lane, East London with help from Matt who owned the suite, and my good friends Kris and Matt from Birmingham. It’s digitised from a VHS copy, so it’s not the sharpest image.
It was for an outfit called ‘ZUM’ from Stafford, who were partly responsible for the band known as ‘Blue Boy’ with the tune ‘Remember Me?’ (using the sample from Marlena Shaw’s ‘Women of the Ghetto’). The brief was a ‘modern scooby-doo’, see what you think…
