During the Birmingham squad’s visit to Berlin for Secret Wars, we found a little time on the last day to go paint just on the outskirts of the Kreuzberg district.
I turned up hours after Agent, Philth & Newso. They cracked on with local boy Prank on the long wall at this youth centre, then we were joined by DiscoTeck who added his inimitable style to the end of the main wall.
Looking at the shots I should have took part in the production, but my urge to paint a ‘strange’ surface kicked in. My piece was reminiscent of the work done in Walsall, using the existing paint and the floor too. It was a great spot and nobody bothers you in Berlin, there’s street work absolutely everywhere; tags, bombs, throwups, pieces, everything was going on.
