I have always had a fascination with lettering. I think it has a lot to do with filling out cryptic crosswords with my mother and my aunty Janine in my youth. Playing with words is one of my favourite pastimes, creating anagrams, remixing existing slogans, mashing up cliches and well known phrases. I got into calligraphy at an early age, and explored the beauty of the letterform, which subsequently scaled up somewhat when I got older.
